This research analyzes the impact of digital technologies for financial inclusion on the adoption of financial competencies among high school students by analyzing the relationship between these variables and satisfaction with savings and expense control. A quantitative exploratory study was carried out using a Likert-type survey on a convenience sample of 446 high school students from the state of Tamaulipas (northeastern Mexico). Inferential analysis with SmartPLS v4 showed a path coefficient of 0.447, explained variance of 22.8% and significance p < 0.000. The main findings reveal that digital technologies have a high impact on financial competencies (R=44.7%) and the latter influence expense control (R=41.3%). It is concluded that, to promote financial competencies in young people that lead to a better quality of life, it is necessary to use digital technologies for financial inclusion in financial education programs and didactics.
